Purpose:
The purpose of this knowledge base article is to provide the steps on how to modify the search settings in Windows 10.
Note: End users may want to switch from the search box to the search icon displaying on their task bar or they may want to have the search option completely hidden.
How to:
- On your task bar, right click on the search box
or the search icon.
If both are hidden,
right click on an empty space within the taskbar.
- Select Search from the menu.
- Select your preferred search setting from the pop-out menu; Hidden, Show search icon or Show search box.
