Clear DNS Server Settings For Wi-Fi on MAC

Purpose:

CURRENT STUDENT/STAFF/FACULTY WITH VALID CREDENTIALS (NON-EXPIRED) IS ABLE TO CONNECT TO UHDWIFI/UHDLEGACY ON THEIR MAC DEVICE BUT IS UNABLE TO ACCESS ANY WEB PAGES AT ALL.

How to:

On their MAC machine, select the Apple icon (on the upper left-hand corner) and select System Preferences

Select Network.

On the left-hand sidebar ensure Wi-Fi is connected (UHD WIFI/UHD LEGACY) and highlight the option.

On the right-hand side select the “Advanced…” option (as shown below)

Select the “DNS” option (typically located in the middle heading portion of the Advanced menu)

Select the DNS Servers (typically in these incidents they are listed as 8…) and select the “- “icon below.

Have the user launch their preferred browser and ensure they can now view web pages.
